“We will continue marching until they kill us.”

These words convey the firm expression of will and dignity that best defines Laura Pollán’s struggle, her life, and today – to the shame of the Castro regime – her death.

Humiliated, beaten and dragged through the streets of Havana on countless occasions for defending the most basic of freedoms – the right to profess her faith and to walk in silent protest – Laura Pollán’s virtue and sacrifice exemplify the image of Cuban women as protectors of faith, family and the highest ideals of love, peace and freedom.

The Cuban American National Foundation, the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba, and all their members and leaders, join the Cuban community in exile in conveying to Laura Pollán who is now in Heaven, to her family, to her beloved Ladies in White and the entire Cuban nation, our deepest feelings of grief, respect and admiration, along with our unbreakable promise to continue the struggle for which she devoted her entire life until her dreams of freedom come true.

Laura Pollán, May Her Soul Rest in Peace.
