Important Cuban Human Rights Topics

The Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba exists to bring important Cuban human rights topics to the attention of the global community. The  personal and corporate mission of the FHRC is to help empower all of Cuban society through creating awareness, international collaboration, humanitarian aid, and much more. We have been able to benefit the Cuban Civil Society in a variety of ways, including donating:

  • Communications equipment

  • Food

  • Medicine

  • Clothing

  • Cash

  • Providing practical support for local activism

We have been pursuing federal funding from the United States and have received several grants. The FHRC also has assisted Cuban Civil Society through natural disaster relief.

Cuban human rights topics encompass a wide range of issues including:

  • Health and safety

  • Legal due process

  • Travel and immigration

  • Work and education

  • Privacy

  • Communication and information

In each of these areas, the average Cuban citizen is more limited than their global neighbors. Censorship and an oppressive government stand in the way of Cubans truly being free. In order to combat this injustice, FHRC is dedicated to spreading awareness about what is going on in Cuba. Within the international community, FHRC is also active in sharing our message. We hope to help provide protection of freedoms for the Cuban people through our efforts.
