Impressions of a Tropical Night

NOV 22, 2013 6:00 p.m. On a cool Friday evening in Miami this past November the 8th, I was invited to the annual Gala for Cuban civil society, Noche Tropical, hosted by the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba (FHRC). Upon entering the Treetop Ballroom, I felt as if the steel elevator lifted me to another place, a magical world that children imagine in their own treetop houses built on wood stained dreams.
