We are excited to announce that the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba (FHRC), in close partnership with CANF and other organizations, have begun our annual Reyes Magos celebration!
Reyes Magos was once a custom for all children in Cuba, and today we continue to revive this special tradition and give hope and joy to children across the island.
Last year FHRC successfully raised in cooperation with CANF over 40.000$ and provided over 4,000 toys for children in the following 13 provinces: Pinar del Rio, Isla de la Juventud, Havana, Matanzas (Cardenas), Cienfuegos, Sancti Spíritus, Santa Clara, Camagüey, Las Tunas, Holguín, Granma, Santiago de Cuba, and Guantánamo.
Our goal this year is to raise over $50,000 and make an even greater impact by bringing the spirit and joy of the Reyes Magos to more than 6,000 children in Cuba with a cost per children of approximately $9.00 per child. To truly make an impact, we ask you to help us reach as many children as possible, if its your desire, you can allocate your donation to a specific participating civil society group.
This celebration is a community effort where children in Cuba are taught the history of the Reyes Magos. We are kindly asking for your support to make this special initiative possible.
FHRC is a 501-c3 corporation and all donations are tax deductible.
